Q. I am a vegan (or: I am allergic to eggs) and so I cannot eat eggs. What do you suggest as an alternative?

A. Avoiding eggs is not difficult. You can substitute a meal from elsewhere in the SlimBuddy programme. If you have been a vegan for some time you will have become quite skilled at devising suitable recipes using only the ingredients you are allowed to eat. For example, you could try legume-based salads e.g. three-bean, chickpea, lentil, or black bean and corn salads; or hummus spread into whole wheat pita with grated carrots and cucumbers. Try substituting those for the occasional SlimBuddy recipe not suitable for you as a vegan.
