Q. How many nuts should I eat as a snack?
A. Most nuts have little carbohydrate so have no GI and are therefore a great healthy snack. However limit the amount of nuts because they are quite high in fat (unsaturated) and therefore calories. I would suggest no more than 5 large nuts (e.g. Brazils) or 10 medium sized nuts (e.g. peanuts) or 15 small nuts (e.g. pistachios) per snack.
